Matt Boreham Ocean Rower Home Matt Boreham is a 38 year old ex boatbuilder, who currently runs a small home improvements business. Born in '68, Matt had a serious accident, before he was 2 years old, when he was run over by a bus. The injuries sustained prohibited him from taking part in many sports and activities during his childhood, creating a determined attitude to persevere and attain the goals he sets himself . Matt started sailing dinghys as a child and quickly learnt that sailing was a sport in which he could compete on equal terms, regardless of his injuries. He got hooked on racing, soon saving up for his own dinghy. As a fanatical sailor he now races dinghys at Hickling Broad Sailing Club of which he was Commador in 2006. Matt is an RYA dinghy instructor and has taught sailing to HSBC members for several years. He also enjoys sailing larger boats, holds an RYA yachtmaster cerificate, and cruises off the East Coast and on the Norfolk Broads in his small yacht (and on anyone elses yacht that needs crew).  Matts sailing now provides more employment than his building work, as Matt now delivers yachts, whenever and wherever possible.
